Recently, Santa Cruz, Bolivia?ushered in a new chapter as?President Luis Arce?pressed the start button?to inaugurate?the self-generation power plant for the Mutún Steel Complex.?This power plant, constructed?by CRRC Ziyang, not only marks the first CRRC gas generator in?South America, and also?represents?a significant step forward in Bolivia’s?industrial?modernization.
As the first capacity cooperation initiative between China and Bolivia, the Mutún Steel Complex elevates Bolivia’s steel production?to a leading position?in Latin America, while helping?fulfilling?the country's decades-long aspiration?of having a fully self-supplied?steel project. The?103MW self-generation power plant?built by CRRC?is the sole electricity source for the?Mutún?Steel Complex.
The power plant features 10 gas generator sets operating in an isolated grid mode, with an output voltage of 11kV?and?a frequency of 50Hz, ensuring continuous and stable energy supply for the steel mill.
As a leader?in exporting China's internal combustion engine products, CRRC Ziyang has undertaken power plant and substation projects in?over 20 countries including Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia, and Malaysia, providing reliable energy solutions to support the local economic growth and improve the living standards?of local people, while showcasing to the world the potential?of China's high-end equipment.
